Another advantage to ordering today is that it may allow the next version to be released sooner rather than later. In order to fully spend time concentrating on finishing the product, all marketing efforts were put on hold for a very long time. This worked ok for quite a while, but gradually sales have slowed down. So additional time may have to be diverted towards revitalizing sales for a while before I can resume work on finishing the product. Every sale that comes in soon enough will make it less necessary to divert time on early marketing efforts.

Here are the terms for the free upgrade. This offer extends back to any one who ordered starting August 1, 2004 or later. In order to claim your free upgrade, you must e-mail a record of the date the purchase was made, the name of the reseller you purchased from (it's Digital River if you used the main online ordering link for instance), the price you paid, the order number as given by the reseller, and the UCalc serial number you were issued. If the order was placed directly by the programmer, then the upgrade must be claimed by the same programmer. If the order was placed indirectly through a purchasing department for your company, with a name other than your own, you must mention the name of the person who carried out the purchasing transaction. The free upgrade applies to the Professional license only. The free upgrade can be claimed only after the next version is actually released.
